About me
KOSHOMARIKADO is a bookstore and cultural archive
based in Tokyo, Japan.
We collect and curate Japanese printed culture and records — from art books, photography, graphic design, architecture, magazines, manga, and underground publications to vinyl records and music-related ephemera.
Rather than treating them as secondhand goods, we see these works as fragments of Japan’s visual and
cultural history.
Many of the materials we handle were produced between the 1960s and 1990s — a period when Japanese print culture, editorial design, architecture, manga, and music developed unique visual languages that continue to influence artists and collectors around the world today.
At KOSHOMARIKADO, we hope to preserve and reconnect these cultural artifacts with the next generation of readers, collectors, designers, musicians, and researchers.

KOSHOMARIKADO は、東京を拠点とする
古書店／カルチャーアーカイブです。
私たちは、美術書、写真集、グラフィックデザイン、建築、雑誌、漫画、アンダーグラウンド出版物から、レコードや音楽関連の印刷物まで、日本の印刷文化と音楽文化を収集・キュレーションしています。
それらを単なる中古品としてではなく、日本の視覚文化やカルチャー史を形づくる「文化の断片」として捉えています。
特に、1960〜1990年代に生まれた出版物やレコードは、日本独自の編集文化、グラフィック表現、建築思想、漫画、音楽表現が大きく発展した時代の記録でもあります。そしてそれらは現在も、世界中のアーティストやデザイナー、コレクターたちへ大きな影響を与え続けています。
KOSHOMARIKADO は、そうした文化資料を次の世代へと繋ぎ、新たな読み手や収集家、表現者たちへ届けていくことを目指しています。

usubane store
We curate and sell a selection of vintage and secondhand books at usubane store in Gotanda, Tokyo.
Books are available for purchase during the café’s regular business hours, with no time limit on the exhibition period.
You are also welcome to browse and read books inside the café, so please feel free to pick up anything that interests you and enjoy the space at your own pace.

Vase Tokyo
中目黒に店舗を構えるセレクトショップ Vase Tokyo のライブラリーにおける書籍のキュレーションを行いました。
アート、写真、建築などの観点から店主の選りすぐりをたくさんご用意しました。写真集は、エドワード・スタイケン、建築は、マリオ・ボッタやルドルフ・シンドラーなど。画集は、ホックニー、キースヘディング、岡秀行氏による伝統パッケージの写真集もございます。
お手に取って楽しんで頂きたいものばかりとなっておりますので中目黒にお出かけの際は是非お立ち寄りください。
